Modeled after the renowned Eurovision Song Contest, the Eurovision Dance Contest 2008 is an international dance competition held in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, and hosted by Graham Norton, the United Kingdom’s famous celebrity talk show host. In 2008, Dance couples from 14 countries across Europe competed to win the acclaimed Eurovision Dance Contest title.
In 2008, Gladys Tay of Shawn & Gladys DanceWorld was selected as the Head Judge of the Eurovision Dance Contest. Gladys Tay led an expert jury of three other International DanceSport Federation (IDSF) Adjudicators, along with televoting national audiences, to determine the winners of 2008’s prestigious Eurovision Dance Contest. The contest garnered an estimated 30 million viewers from 21 countries worldwide, making the show one of the largest television dance contests in the region.
